

Port Isaac is an excellent holiday base for enjoying the fabulous rugged, dramatic coastline of this part of North Cornwall. Although Port Isaac is away from the crowds, there are lots of things to do in and around Port Isaac Cornwall.
Music:
Fisherman's Friends Sea Shanty singers from Port Isaac
have found global fame. They can be heard singing every Friday evening
during the summer on the Port Isaac harbour front. On a Thursday in the
summer, the St Breward Silver Band can be enjoyed on
the Platt in Port
Isaac.
St Endellion Music Festival If you enjoy classical music,
the St Endellion Music Festivals bring together a wide range of musicians from around the world.
Twice yearly, at Easter and
in the summer, in the Collegiate Church of St Endellion, about a mile
from Port Isaac.
Eating and Drinking: There are plenty of places to eat in and around Port Isaac. There is a good restaurant and bar (The Edge Restaurant) across the road from The Bay Hotel as well as several more restaurants in the village.
Beaches and Surfing: Explore Port Isaac harbour with shingle, rock pools and boats or walk down the hill to Port Gaverne shingle beach. Or take a short drive to several fabulous sandy beaches. Just a few miles to Polzeath, one of the best surfing beaches in North Cornwall. And a short walk from Polzeath is Daymer Bay with a fine sandy beach.
Sailing and Fishing: Rock has sailing, boating and fishing. Fishing trips also run from Port Isaac harbour.
Walking and the Southwest Coast FootPath: The South west coast path passes through Port Isaac. Walk are rugged but follow some of the most rugged coastline in Cornwall. Walk north to Port Gaverne, Trebarwith Strand and Tintagel or south to Port Quinn and Polzeath.
Golf: Several courses nearby, St Kew and the classic St Endoc golf course, probably the best links golf course in Cornwall and the South West. More on St Endoc golf course.
Cycle
the Camel Trail:
Cycle trail that follows the River Camel through
Cornish
countryside from Wenfordbridge
to Bodmin(6.25 miles), Bodmin to Wadebridge
(5.75 miles) and Wadebridge to Padstow (5.5 miles).
The
trail wends its way through some of Englands most beautiful and
relatively unknown coastal scenery.
Eden Project: A stunning global eco garden near St Austell in Cornwall with the rainforest, jungles, waterfalls, architecture, sculpture and much more.
Padstow:The heart of Padstow is its harbour with seats all around and fishing and pleasure boats.
Tintagel: Tintagel Castle and King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table. Tintagel is visible from The Bay Hotel and is one of the 'most visited places in Britain'. The energetic can walk to Tintagel but most would drive from The Bay.
Bodmin Steam Railway: Cornwalls' only full size railway operated by steam locomotives.
Houses and Gardens: National Trust and privately owned houses and gardens, Pencarrow House, Lanhydrock, Prideaux Place, Trerice.
